Great Barrier Island

_Great Barrier Island is situated in the Outer Hauraki Gulf just 90km off the North East coast of Auckland, New Zealand. It boasts golden beaches, unspoilt forests and amazing views.

The island is 40km long and provides protection for the Gulf and Auckland from the Easterly Pacific Swells, hence the name, Great Barrier. The population is around 600.
